TweetWagon
About Us
TweetWagon was conceived by two brothers, Chris & Brian on the drive back to North Carolina from visiting family in Michigan. It started with a car, the TweetWagon, and became something grand to breathe new life into local business marketing.
TweetWagon is driven by two brothers, Chris and Brian.
Chris is the older brother. He has been married for six years and has one beautiful son. He is an accomplished small business owner, skilled web developer, and works full time for a search engine marketing agency.
Brian is the younger brother. He has been married for five years, has one wonderful little boy, and is currently studying to be a middle school social studies and language arts teacher at a local major university.
We were driving through rural Ohio on our way to Michigan to visit family. Brian began to express disappointment as he realized his car would not sell for as much as two thousand dollars. Chris playfully prodded Brian to consider some ways to make his car worth fourteen thousand dollars. Our conversation started out jokingly as we mentioned trying to get a local American Idol contestant to drive people around for a small fee.Eventually we stumbled on a silly, yet more feasible idea. After Brian mentioned that there may be some way to utilize the popularity of twitter to make his car more valuable, Chris thought of the twitter mobile. His idea consisted of Brian driving around the country with his car decorated to get people to follow him on twitter. The goal was for the tour of the twitter mobile to become so popular that businesses would pay to have Brian tweet about them while people followed him around the country. After the one week tour, Brian could sell the car as the original twitter mobile for a lot of money.
After a couple of days Chris and Brian set out on their twelve hour drive back to North Carolina, at which time they could reconsider the farfetched twitter mobile idea. They eventually realized that a tour of the twitter mobile was just not practical nor was it likely to make much money. There was one good idea hidden within the twitter mobile idea...Advertising.
Chris and Brian realized that there is a need for local businesses using twitter. Many local businesses have not yet discovered the value of advertising on twitter. However, for those who have, they may be going largely unnoticed. Someone has to be there to tell consumers that the business is there to follow.
Thus the beginning of TweetWagon.com...Chris and Brian decided to set out on a new adventure-to create a website that would serve as a local business twitter directory for every local business in the nation. So if you are a consumer in Livonia, Michigan and want to know where to find the best deals on a florist, you can go to tweetwagon to find a local florist that is on twitter. Then you can follow that florist, or many florists for that matter, and know the best deals offered at any given moment by local florists in Livonia, Michigan.
So jump on board the tweetwagon and enjoy the ride. We hope you save wagon loads of money. Enjoy.
